NH Gov Opens Church Buildings

After receiving guidance from the CDC, Governor Sununu announced on May 29 that places of worship can reopen to in-person services in New Hampshire, limiting their occupancy to 40% and instituting measures to maintain 6 feet of social distance between congregants.

Since Wheeler Chapel is permitted 70 seated occupants under normal conditions, the governor’s rule would allow a maximum of 28 occupants in the chapel. The trustees require that all tenants desiring to return to Wheeler Chapel must adhere to the meeting safety guidance published by the governor’s Economic Reopening Taskforce as “Stay At Home – 2.0, Places of Worship“.
