Mitt meets Merrimack at Wheeler

10/4/2007 - Presidential hopeful Mitt Romney stopped at several Southern New Hampshire locations to meet with voters in his bid for the highest office in the land. The Romney Campaign selected Wheeler Memorial Chapel as the location to meet with Merrimack residents when the campaign traveled through the region. The visit, themed "Ask Mitt Anything", gave a capacity crowd of townspeople a chance to do just that. Mitt fielded questions on a variety of subjects in his effort to woo voters to cast a vote for him in the presidential sweepstakes.
The campaign's advance team was impressed with the chapel's charm and felt that it was representative of the character of the town and its people and decided it was a fitting venue to connect with the locals. The Trust found the campaign staff very cooperative and easy to work with and looks forward for an opportunity to work with them and other presidential candidates in the future.
The Wheeler Chapel Trust does not endorse any candidates for any office and will consider the request of any candidate to stage an event at the chapel.
